- Silver is very malleable and can be crafted into almost any shape imaginable, making it highly customizable.
- It's because of this malleability that an alloy, typically copper, must be added to the silver to strengthen it. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy metal.
- Vermeil, pronounced Ver-May, is silver electroplated with 100 millionths of an inch of plated gold.

Roman glass mounted in silver
